Christian Rock Group, Third Day, releases song to aid Katrina Hurricane Victims
When my wife arrived home tonight from work she was all teary and red eyed. I immediately asked her what was wrong and she replied she heard a song on the radio by Third Day, the Christian Rock Band, about Hurricane Katrina. I Googled "Third Day" and went directly to their website. The song(s) are available for download and Third Day is donating $1 to the World Vision's Gulf Coast relief fund for every unique download up to 50,000. This in in addition to the $10,000 the band has already pledged. The band writes this on their website:
"We can't turn on the news without our hearts breaking for the people suffering through the devastation left by Katrina. Our sincere desire for "Cry Out To Jesus" is to offer hope to hurting people. We know people's lives will be forever changed by the storm that hit this week. Our prayers and thoughts are with our brothers and sisters and their families in the Gulf States. Whe hope this song can bring even a small amount of hope and light to this dark hour." - Mack Powell (Third Day) Go to the Third Day website! The band is asking that you donate to World Vision if you are at all inspired by this song.
