I love BS

The Daily O' Collegian has an article titled "Boone Lampoon" which talks about a parody web site that popped up around Thanksgiving. The title of this post "I love BS" doesn't mean what you thought it did. It actually means.... I love Boone State. More than a web site to get laughs, the creators are actually voicing their opposition to the proposed athletic village. One of the creators of the website, Garret Hellman, comments in the O'Colly-

The main message of the Web site is not an opposition to Pickens’ gifts, but rather an opposition to the university using the money to take homes from people in order to build an athletic village, Hellman said. He also said he would like to see the university work more with the Stillwater community and homeowners in order to create a better relationship.
Chris Stellman, a biology senior at OSU and co-creator of the web site, is directly affected by the proposed land grab to build the athletic village-
Stellman said he is directly affected by the money donated to the university to build an athletic village because he and his wife own a house in the area where the athletic village has been proposed to be built. “I’ve done a lot of work to the house. It’s my home. There’s this idea that all the property there is rent houses, but that’s not true. There are a lot of homeowners there,” Stellman said.
The Web site has drawn criticism from OSU sports fans but both Stellman and Hellman defend their rights to protect their interests. The Web site has a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page and I believe this Q & A says it all-
Do you want Boone Pickens to quit donating money to this university?

No, we appreciate the money he has given. What we want is for the money to be used in a way that best benefits OSU and the Stillwater community. We also think that the best gifts are ones that don't come with strings attached.

I agree with their sentiment!
