Why: Educating Tulsa is a bi-annual seminar, showcasing a keynote speaker on education issues and governmental agencies and their impact on American life.
This aspect of Operation Information and Oklahomans for School Accountability is dedicated to giving accurate information on educational/state/federal & local issues to ensure Oklahoma citizens can make informed decisions regarding their children, tax dollars and the future of our community. *Michael J. Chapman, founder of American Heritage Research, is an author, speaker, and education researcher. He owns an extensive collection of rare books, which he uses to expose extensive worldview bias and censorship within mainstream public school curriculum. He has conducted in-service training for teachers in several states. Michael has appeared locally and nationally on such shows as "Point of View" with Marlin Maddoux, Phyllis Schlafly "Live," and John Loeffler's "Steel on Steel." Mr. Chapman has spoken at national conferences including the Education Policy Conference in St. Louis, Eagle Forum, and the Council on National Policy in Washington, D.C. He has presented to staff at Focus on the Family and the ACSI and has conducted extensive research for local and nationally elected representatives. Michael, his wife of 25 years, and two daughters reside in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Seminar Topics
- The War of World Views - Contrasting the Christian viewpoint against the humanist/post modern view and their impact on education. Chapman describes how moral relativism, 'fuzzy math', and other trends damage education.
- America's Censored Heritage - Chapman emphasizes the need to study America's heritage. He criticizes popular myths, including 'separation of church and state' and 'pure democracy'.
- Education for Sustainable Tyranny - The United Nations agenda for America's children. Chapman says 'sustainable development' is code language for the U.N.'s Agenda 21.
