Freedom Live 2006

Last night my wife and I attended the first night of Freedom Live 2006 that is taking place on the ORU campus. Although it was a bit windy, the weather cooperated for the evening's festivities. We wandered the grounds and took in the sights before making our way to the Mabee Center for the headline act, Third Day.

Third Day is one of my favorite Christian Rock bands. Not only do they sound great and have an awesome light show, they are a great bunch of guys with a heart. In an earlier entry about Third Day, I mentioned how the band was helping victims of hurricane Katrina by their generous donations. When I looked up the link to the earlier Third Day entry here at Tulsa Topics, I played the audio and choked up again and so did my wife.

If you didn't catch the show last night don't fret. Third Day will be at Praise Fest 2006 in Oklahoma City on July 22 and back in Tulsa in October. If you like good Rock & Roll music that conveys a great message, then don't miss the upcoming chances to see them live!

Here's some of the Friday night sights of Freedom Live 2006: Note: clicking on the picture will open up larger versions.
