Rocky Mountain High - Part Three

My wife and I have had to deal with coming back to reality after being in the high country for a week of vacation. Although we hiked many a mountain trail, the vacation was relaxing. The total picture count that was taken topped out at 1539 and I have been deleting and picking the "cream of the crop" so I can eventually get prints made. Some highlights of the trip included:

  1. It was much cooler in the Rocky Mountains than here.
  2. Hiking trails that led to waterfalls.
  3. Seeing a 4 day old baby moose.
  4. Not getting trampled to death by the irate parents of the baby moose.
  5. Touring the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO.
  6. Attending a Territorial Festival in Old Colorado City, CO and seeing a bald eagle.
  7. Hearing the news that a lost hiker who had been missing for 7 days in the Rocky Mountain National Park was found alive.
I highly recommend making the boring drive from Tulsa to the Rocky Mountains. If you need further persuasion then here's a quick video of what we saw on our summer vacation.... Enjoy!
