What Is It?

ANSWER: This a picture during the Newsboys concert. A large number of the audience had glow sticks and was waving them around. When the house lights went down, I took a picture of the crowd. The circle effect was accomplished by slowly moving my camera while the shutter was open.

Carlos Moreno came pretty close, but ended up having more questions than answers....LOL.

If you'd like to "cabbage" a copy of this picture, feel free to click on it, which will take you to my Flickr account. You can download the original size (1492 x 1195). Stay tuned for the next installment of "What Is It?" coming soon!

Every once in awhile I capture an abstract photo for lack of a better term. I've decided to have a little contest to see if you can guess what your looking at. The first reader to correctly guesses the photo subject gets a professional 8" x 10" print of the contest photo.

Here's the first contest photo.... give it a shot! (For a larger version, click on the picture)

aaaarrgh!! No hints?
:)
I've stared at it for twenty minutes, and can't figure anything out!
My daughter can't find anything definitive either. She says it looks like pretty circles!

it's got to be a long exposure / time-lapse type of photo...

...i'm assuming the circles are from waving lights(?) and/or very colorful wands of some sort around.

question would be -- is it one person waving a bunch of things around? or a bunch of people waving around one thing each?

and what are the things?
hahaha...
they almost don't look like lights, but more like ribbons or flags.

For a minute, I thought it might be an exposure of one of those weird light things. You know, the fiber optic fiber thingees that have colors at the end of them...
or something..
:)
